RESIDENCY

Deepening Character - Discerning Calling - Developing Competencies

Why Residency?

The gospel must go forward. Churches must be planted. God’s Plan A is his church, there is no Plan B, but the church lacks gospel-centered leaders who have been called out, trained up, and sent out. This is why we have a two-year residency program. We want to come alongside God-called men and women to discern their calling, deepen their character, and develop their competencies so that we see more leaders than we know what to do with living for the glory of God and the advancement of his gospel through the local church.

Frequently Asked
Questions

The ideal CrossPoint Residency candidate is a believer, male or female, who has sensed a calling from God to commit to serving Him and His church with their life, and who desires to pursue one of our Ministry Tracks! Residents may be married or unmarried, from the midwest or the big city. However, the “ideal” profile is not absolute. We recognize that God calls people from all walks and backgrounds, so if you feel God calling you to this opportunity but you do not fit all aspects laid out here please reach out to us by phone or email
We currently provide the CrossPoint Residency to those who feel a calling to serve the local church in a variety of capacities, including Kids, Students, Worship, Groups, Pastoring, and planting! Depending on which track you feel God may be calling you to pursue, we also have co-vocational and part-time opportunities available.
While we do not currently supply housing for residents, we would be happy to recommend or help you find suitable housing in your location!
We require that all Residents must:

  • be a believer
  • be a maturing follower of Jesus
  • have a desired ministry path and evidence of calling
  • show leadership, humility, and a willingness to work
  • have a teachable spirit
  • provide references who can speak to character and calling
  • be able to give the required time
  • be at least 18 years old
Part of residency is helping you discern what is next for your ministry. At the end of your program, CrossPoint Church will help you to take your next step in ministry. That may be a full- or part-time position with CrossPoint, committing to church planting, or, for some, that may mean we assist you with some of our partnerships and relationships to find a role at another church outside of our network! While we cannot guarantee employment in any context, we know that it is God who calls and He can use the relationship formed by His people to help fulfill that calling
You can apply by filling out an application, which may take up to one hour.
